about

Rebecca “Stolie” Stoelinga grew up in north-suburban Deerfield and honed her songwriting skills as a touring singer-songwriter before turning to the kids scene in 2006. Her pop-rock sensibility and energetic stage prowess always make for a lively interactive performance whether she’s singing for adults or for kids, as a solo act or with her band, Super Stolie and The Rockstars. Her latest album, Press Play!, was released in 2012.

“Little Black Bear”
While on vacation in Tennessee for Christmas 2013, Stolie was determined to see a black bear in the Great Smokey Mountains! Although her quest was never actually realized, she found him in the form of a song, inspired by the music of Appalachia! Super a Stolie performs on guitar, bass, mandolin and harmonica on "Little Black Bear," a bluegrass- flavored song that suggests "you can look, but don't touch!”
