Istvan never does anything halfway. A longtime member of Chicago’s alternative music scene, Istvan has gone all-out in the children’s arena since the birth of his daughter, Evie, who often joins him onstage and is as committed as he is to rocking the kiddies of Chicago with their energetic brand of pop, country, punk and rock. For kids. When he’s not on stage with huge inflatable toys and bubbles galore and his imaginary band (with some very stand-out performers), he’s behind the mic and the editing suite and even the loom with his blast off brand of toys, clothing, music videos and more. Catch him on the radio, catch him at a concert, just catch Istvan, if you can find his Imaginary Band!

“Opossom”
One day I heard a couple facts about the opossum that were news to me. It’s a solitary creature that likes to be left alone and it is the only marsupial in the US. That seemed incredible to me. I felt like we had a lot in common. I felt a real empathy for this little misunderstood animal and I wanted to write a song to help people reconsider how they may have felt about it -- ultimately the anthem for a really unique and cool animal that has miraculously been around since the age of dinosaurs. The opossum is my friend.
